Phish have officially announced their upcoming Halloween shows which were kept secret for some time. The shows named Festival 8 will take place on Oct 30, 31 and Nov 1st at the Empire Polo Club in Indio California. The club boasts lush green fields and palm trees as a backdrop for the festival. The festival site is said to be ”breathtaking”. Phish have announced they will combine a multi day camping festival and performing on halloween in a 3 day event.

In  past Halloween shows Phish have appeared dressed in costume on halloween night and covered other bands albums. The tradition began in 1994 with Phish playing the Beatles white album. Later years they played other hits from the Velvet underground, the who and others.

In the upcoming festival there will be camping on site as well as attractions and art installations throughout the weekend

So get freaky and “Bounce around the Polo Club” with Phish on Halloween!

Tickets for Festival 8 will be available starting Monday July 27th.
