This show may be two months away, but the reuniting of SDRE warrants a few words here. Sunny Day Real Estate could be the best rock band not on your playlist. They tiptoed out of the Seattle rock scene in the early 1990’s with a sound slightly different than their Sub Pop brethren Nirvana (Yes, Nirvana’s debut album “Bleach” was released on independent label Sub Pop). Making an attempt to define the sound of their revered album “Diary” will undoubtedly fall short in scope and meaning on my part. Do yourself a favor and buy it. Like now. Onto The Jealous Sound…

Did you know the Jealous Sound’s album “Kill Them with Kindness” was one of Spin magazines top 40 albums of 2003? Google it. Then break the flannel out of the closet for the show. I’ll see you there.
