Aerosmith announced late Thursday night in a press release that the remainder of the North American tour has been canceled. Aerosmith’s representatives said late on Thursday the tour was canceled because Tyler needs time to recover.

Tyler, now with a broken left shoulder and 20 stitches in his head, also postponed shows last month due to a sore leg muscle. The tour was rocky even before it started with Tyler, undergoing foot surgeries and recovering from pneumonia earlier this year. Whitford, sat out the first 7 shows while recovering from surgery after hitting his head getting out of his Ferrari. Also, Hamilton, a 57-year-old cancer survivor, left the tour to undergo surgery as well.

“Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour,” guitarist Joe Perry said in a statement “I would like to thank our loyal fans for sticking by us through thick and thin and all the good energy they are sending our way.”
