KOL Kings of Leon Cancels US Tour, Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion.

The bands Friday concert in Dallas, Texas ended prematurely   as lead singer Caleb Followill told fans: “I’m gonna go backstage and I’m gonna vomit, I’m gonna drink a beer and I’m gonna come back out and play three more songs.” However, its reported the singer never returned to the stage.  His brother and band bassist, Jared apologized to hte crowd, “Caleb’s just a little unfit to play the rest of the show…We love you guys so much, but I know you guys —-king hate us. I’m so sorry. It’s really not our fault, it’s Caleb. He can’t play the rest of the show. We will be back as soon as possible.”

The official statement goes as follows:

“We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire US tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break.  Unfortunately, the US dates cannot be rescheduled due to the band’s international tour schedule.

Jared tweeted after the concert in Dallas:

“Dallas, I cannot begin to tell you how sorry I am,” he wrote Saturday. “There are internal sicknesses & problems that have needed to be addressed. No words.”

He added: “I love our fans so much. I know you guys aren’t stupid. I can’t lie. There are problems in our band bigger than not drinking enough Gatorade.”

Despite the harsh criticism the musical first faced, last Tuesday the doors officially opened at the Foxwoods Theater with a new and much improved version of Spiderman: Turn off the Dark. With the producers and cast crossing their fingers for a successful premiere, it seems as though their wish was granted as there proved to be a star-studded crowd opening night, including A-listers such as Robert DeNiro, Matt Damon, Helena Christensen, Liv Tyler, Spike Lee, and even fellow Broadway composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.

4.158527 “My spider sense is tingling”…Spiderman: Turn off the Dark is bound to be a favorite!

After months of anticipation the show went off without a hitch and it became clear that it would prove to be a true crowd pleaser. The story was reworked to be more cohesive and streamlined while still managing to be funnier then before.

Unlike any show to hit Broadway to date, the musical definitely took a lot of chances and the extra time just helped to fine tune it all! The show is packed with captivating aerial sequences, and a fantastic cast including Next to Normal’s Jennifer Damiano as Mary Jane and introducing Reeve Carney in his Broadway debut as Peter Parker himself. Not to mention Patrick Page’s very entertaining performance as the devilish Green Goblin is something to be raved about. The musical has become an ideal show for people of all ages and a must-watch for children and parents alike.

The days of the once accident-prone, hard-to-follow musical are long past and much to the critics surprise the streets have been lined with families and school buses filled with kids dying to see it since opening day. As Bill Clinton put it on opening night, “New York has never seen anything like Spiderman: Turn off the Dark… it was fabulous”.
